The Idea
Outside and near large cities, smaller towns are often not served by public transportation. With a low population density, it is for townships and cities not economically efficient to cover more remote locations.
The concept of the commuter shuttle is intended to help solving this problem and close the gap between public transport hubs and remote locations.
Thanks to autonomous driving, the commuter shuttles are available around the clock for pick-up and drop-off services.
The Commuter Shuttle offers space for a maximum of 6 passengers. Before the journey, they can book the trip between the station and their own home via an app. Considering the departure times of public transport, it automatically calculates the best and most efficient route.
